Derwent Air Rifles Shooting Range

Derwent Air Rifles

The range here at Wellington Farm is one of the longest air rifle ranges in the country and surely the prettiest, with views towards the magnificent Lake District Fells

Derwent Air Rifles operate an outdoor 100 yard Shooting Range for NON FAC air rifles and pistols (PELLET ONLY) here at Wellington Farm.

The Range features over 100 steel hit-to-reset targets all accurately measured for precision plinking. It has a covered Gallery that can accommodate 8 seated and 8 prone shooters at any one time. The targets are spread from 8 yards to 100 and are painted white with a special paint that leaves a mark when the pellets strike them.

Before a shooter can use the Range they must visit the Derwent Air Rifles shop in town to fill in a section 21 form and be briefed on their safety instructions. These instructions are also clearly displayed at the Range. After that, whenever they want to use the Range they can pay at the shop or pay on their website.

The Range is available to any shooter aged 9 or over, but shooters under 18 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 21 who must also pay the Range fee.

The Range is open 10 am to 8 pm (daylight permitting) every day.
